What Is Buzzsaw Joint?
Buzzsaw Joint began life as a London club night offering fans the chance to revel in deliciously trashy, obscure rock and roll in all its perverse forms. Club boss Fritz eventually took the primitive Buzzsaw sound online through a series of savage Mixcloud mixes assembled by record collectors and hunters from around the world, and the high-octane energy of the night eventually took physical form as a run of vinyl and CD compilations released via the respected reissue label Stag-O-Lee Records.

Cut number nine in the series reveals the top-secret tactics of Double Agent 7, a London-based DJ duo and music festival regulars who hold a long-running monthly residency at one of the capital's hippest bars, spinning 1950s and 60s R&B floorfillers deep into the night under their self-styled Mission 45. Beyond London, the duo have taken their cross-border operations to Berlin, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona and Bangkok, and have also released two of their own recordings, Dopamine Fiend and Luxury Kills, in collaboration with singer Annie Bea under the code name DA7.
