Robin and Linda Williams are a husband and wife Americana duo who got their start appearing on Garrison Keillor's NPR radio program A Prairie Home Companion in 1975, the same year they released their debut recording. Originally drawing inspiration from The Carter Family and working as a bluegrass band, the pair have since absorbed influences from across country, gospel and traditional mountain music, often performing alongside their backing group Their Fine Group, whose lineup has over the years included fiddler Stuart Duncan, dobro player Jerry Douglas, and mandolinists Jimmy Gaudreau and Tim O'Brien.
